"The Partnership is with the St. Jacques School, Christ the King church.  They are located in Lahoye, Haiti.  Lahoye is located on the central plateau of Haiti near the border with the Dominican border.  Traditionally this is the poorest part of Haiti.
 
There are 280 students attending the school you see in the photographs.  This building also serves as the church.
 
There is no water at the school.  The nearest source of water is a well that is one half mile away.  One of our current projects is providing water filters for 5 gallon buckets and iodine tablets so that there is at least a small amount of clean water available for the children.  A long term goal is to develop a source of water at the school.
 
We are currently sending down money to buy plates, utensils and a large pot to prepare rice and beans for lunch.  We are also sending down money to pay for the teachers at the school."
