Lemon Bay High School

n     Lemon Bay High School has a population of over 1350 students in grades 9-12.

n     A recently completed technology laboratories are among the most modern in the state.

n     Continued cooperation with the surrounding communities serving the school enables students to receive scholarship assistance for education after high school graduation.  In the past few years this local commitment has exceeded $250,000 per year for LBHS graduates!

n     Curriculum embraces several opportunities to pursue college credits as early as the sophomore year.  Dual enrollment classes sponsored by Edison Community College, and the close proximity to Manatee Community College that encourages early credit enrollment, as well as Advanced Placement courses taught by highly qualified instructors offers students the means to earn college credit while still in high school.

Student Leadership Academy

n     Situated on 30 acres, the Garden Elementary campus has been completely renovated and updated

n     Working with the best 21st century technology, each classroom is equipped with "ActivBoards," interactive whiteboards for teachers to use while instructing

n     Among the top scoring schools in the district in 4th grade FCAT Writing.  Success due largely to a custom  practice program, "Garden Writes,"  where students from all grade levels write monthly in response to a narrative or expository prompt similar to those used on the fourth grade test

n     Garden Grows Character is a school-wide character education program.  Staff looks for everyday examples of students making good choices. Once a student is "caught being good," an award slip is filled out and the child is recognized publicly as well as given a prize!
