Local Government...The City Venice has a council-manager system of local government, combining the political leadership of elected officials in the form of a city council with the managerial experience of a city manager. The council is elected by our citizens. The council hires and supervises the charter officers. The public is welcome at certain meetings; times, dates and locations are subject to change.
